Mid-Week-Blues/ Surrender is not an option !!

Written by  Joe Sports

Of course I've got the Mid-Week Blues, there's no hockey until Friday. If Mid-Week Blues are a big issue for you, then there's a reason for it. Ignoring the issues just keeps you locked in the Groundhog Day cycle and we all know about the Groundhog Day cycle. (Bill Murray-Groundhog Day).

You see, yesterday is already done - it is history. You cannot do anything about it anymore. You can learn something from it, but that is all. And tomorrow, is yet to come. So, it leaves us with only TODAY! You might just as well make the most out of it.

Do this for 11 days and this will become a habit. And you won't even realize that you are still doing it. Feed your mind with Positive messages all day.

We will win our 5 REMAINING GAMES. We will win our 5 REMAINING GAMES. We will make the PLAYOFFS. We will make the PLAYOFFS. I feel much better now.

Wow , that was a road trip. I don't know how the players feel, but I was exausted by the time I got home late Monday night. Now the team gets ready for it's 5 remaining games of the 2009-2010 season.

We have this big mountain to climb — and we're still climbing, but you know what ? We're going to do it.

Surrender is not an option. The team won't quit. I know that Kaminski won't let them quit. We're still alive. Until they lock the door on us, we have a chance.

The Kings are slated to battle at home with Texas, Friday, the Mudbugs on Saturday and then the Mudbugs again on Tuesday at Bossier-Shreveport

3/12—Texas at Mississippi (7:05 PM) WHBQ-AM

3/13—Bossier-Shreveport at Mississippi (7:05 PM) WHBQ-AM

 3/16—Mississippi at Bossier-Shreveport (7:05 PM) WHBQ-AM

The road trip started in Tulsa last Tuesday night and it did not start the way we wanted. The Oilers doubled up on us 6 -3. The Kings were 0-for-7 on the powerplay.

On Friday it looked like the Kings hope for the playoffs may have evaporated, as they were thumped by the Americans 5-2 and did not look good at all in the contest. The Kings were 0 for 4 on the power play.

Saturday arrived and so did a new goaltender. The guys name is Kyle McNulty. He did his job, he stopped pucks. That's what a goalie does isn't it ? With-out a great quarterback or a great goaltender, you don't go very far. The Kings edged the Americans 2-1 in a shootout. The Kings were 0 for 6 on the powerplay.

Sunday we whipped the Mavericks 5-1 in another must game. The Kings were 3 for 11 on the powerplay. McNulty was solid in this game also.Dan Dreger refereed another terrible game as I have said before, he should not be refereeing at this level. He was terrible for both sides.

What do I think of the Mavericks? About the same as the Eagles. No class, no sportsmanship. Cheap shots GALORE.

Listen, I like a physical game, but they are just plain dirty.

The Kings have a record of 29- 23- 7 for 65 points. The best they can get is fourth in the Northern Conference. The Mavericks are two points behind the Kings for the final playoff spot. They have a record of 29- 25- 5 for 63 points. The Oilers are sixth with a record of 27- 25- 6 for 60 points. The Oilers have one game in hand though. Tulsa plays Amarillo today(Go-Gorrillas-Go)

As the saying goes, it’s one game at a time. Try not to think too far ahead and try to keep the players in the present.

I'm Joe Sports and that's the way I see it.

I'm going out and renting the Blues brothers !!
