Just got back from the third TV taping of ‘Jerry Lawler’s Memphis Wrestling’ and had a wonderful time. My last post here was on May 22, after the first taping of the show. The show is being taped once a month at the Vine (1819 Madison Ave, right beside Neil’s). At each taping they are recording 4 – 1 hour shows. One reason I’ve waited to make another post was to give Lawler and his crew the chance to work out the kinks. The facility they are using is not set up for filming. I just got back from the first TV taping for “Jerry Lawler’s Memphis Wrestling” and while I didn’t stay till the end, I certainly liked what I saw. Behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera you could see a lot of the glory days of Memphis Wrestling involved. Men like Guy Coffey, Buddy Wayne, Ken Wayne, Kevin Lawler, Downtown Bruno, Koko Ware, Bert Prentice and many more. New Memphis Wrestling TV Show To Debut

It was announced this morning that a new Memphis Wrestling show is about to be a reality. Details are sketchy, but the early news is Jerry Lawler is putting together a brand new Memphis Wrestling show. What I’ve heard is the new show will have actually live wrestling on it. I haven’t heard which station or on what day it will be shown. What I do know is the first tv taping will be held on May 20th at The Vine (1819 Madison Ave). I’ll let you know when more info becomes available.
I can't tell you how many emails I get from people wanting to know where they can buy old Memphis Wrestling memorabilia. The problem is there's just not a lot of it and the people who do have some, are not selling any of it.
