MSU 49, U of M 7

Written by Jack Eaton

When the Tigers went to Starkville their hopes were high
Although for the life of me i cant imagine why.

They won 2 games last year and took plenty of flack
And a lot of those guys-great scott-were back.

The line was 21 but Memphis was so flat
By the end of the quarter State had covered that.

The Tigers could do nothing on either side of the ball.
And it wasn't long before their hide had been nailed to the wall.

So i'm afraid this season wont be a whole lot of fun.
And Coach Porter may be saying what in the world have i done.

But Tiger fans in Memphis just can't wait
Hey, they have the best place around if they only tailgate.

I didn't win best sports blog of the year. re-calculate the votes !! Something is wrong here. Well it's countdown to camp. The Kings made a…

Written by Joe Sports
The picture is of the great Rocket Richard enjoying the only passion he treasured more than hockey - fishing. Well, Joe Sports is away for about a week on a fishing trip. No computers and no cell phones. He asked me to keep you up to date on the off season signings by the Riverkings. So, no Offside Thursday this week. The Kings signed veteran forward Anthony Battaglia. Battaglia played with the Amarillo Gorillas of the CHL, but also has played in the ECHL, AHL, IHL, and in Europe. I'll let Joe comment on this one. The Kings also signed…
During his appearance on the August 24, 2010 edition of Memphis Sport Live (MSL), politician Basil Marceaux (aka Basil Marceaux.com) made a surprise announcement, declaring his plan to run as a write-in for Tennessee governor in this fall's election. Listen to Basil Marceaux's MSL interview right here Earlier this summer, MSL made headlines when Prince Mongo appeared in studio for his first major interview since the 2009 election and when Rick Trotter chose MSL as the place to announce whether or not he would return to the Memphis Grizzlies next season. MSL is hosted by Kevin Cerrito and Marcus Hunter. New episodes…
